How much waste should I add?
10% covers straight-lay patterns with simple rooms. Use 15% for diagonal layouts and 15–20% for herringbone or rooms with many corners, columns or curves.
Does grout width change the count?
Yes — each tile effectively occupies its size plus the grout joint. With small tiles and wide joints this adds up: 3 mm joint on a 10 cm tile is a 3% larger footprint per tile.
Should I buy extra boxes?
Keep at least one extra box beyond the calculation for future repairs and batch matching. Tiles from the same batch keep color consistent across the floor.
